Project Summary
The Douglas & Nancy Barnhart Cancer Center is an expansion to the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. ENR recognized the project as one the region’s best achievements in construction and design. The three-story, steel-moment frame structure includes 2 linear accelerator suites with concrete walls up to 7 feet thick. The mission of the center is a commitment to make health care better for patients and families by incorporating physicians and skilled caregivers within a state-of-the-art facility, using advanced cancer treatment technology.
