KNA Structural Engineers has recently promoted Kevin Westervelt, S.E. and Ben Pitts, S.E. to Principals. Kevin and Ben have been with us for over ten years, and will continue to bring their expertise, leadership and experience to their new positions.
Kevin joined the firm in 2004 after graduating from Cal Poly SLO. He excels in building analysis, structural design for new, existing and historic buildings and leads forensic investigations. His design expertise includes K-12, colleges, healthcare and civic projects. Kevin has structural and civil engineering licenses in California and Oregon, as well as a civil engineer license in Washington. Kevin is married and spends his off hours outdoors whenever possible.
After graduating from Cal Poly SLO, Ben joined the firm in 2005. He specializes in designing for K-12, colleges, civic and healthcare projects. He has extensive experience in Revit and 3D modeling and holds structural and civil engineering licenses in California. He often gives his time and knowledge to speak to younger engineers about structural engineering. Outside of work Ben stays busy with three young children and a long list of DYI home improvement projects.
“Ben and Kevin have consistently proven themselves as effective project managers and office leaders. Over many years they have demonstrated their exemplary knowledge and enthusiasm for the work we perform for our clients. We are looking to Ben and Kevin to help the firm maintain our reputation of integrity and high standards.”
Larry Kaprielian, S.E., Principal
